Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer

I hope that this letter finds you well. We are again at the end of another term and it is remarkable to think that we are almost at the end of another academic year and what a strange year it has been!

As always we have powered through all the strange times and hopefully we are now starting to see the light at the end of what has seemed at times a very long tunnel. However throughout all of this our students have made us so proud with the way in which they have adapted and still excelled. Our year 11 students are now finalising the evidence that they all require to complete their qualifications and we are hoping for a very promising set of results when the results are published on the 12th of August 2021. We will be emailing out these results to our students so please ensure that we have your correct email address so that you get them on the day.

Our year 11 students will leave us on Friday the 28th of May 2021 and they will then move to a period of study leave. Jordan Senior our Head of Careers has arranged a range of activities, events and meetings for year 11 to fully prepare them for their transition onto the next stage of their lives. Their final date will be Friday 25th of June 2021 and after this point they are free to move onto full time employment if this is the route that they are taking.

Although this Friday is not their official final day we would like to celebrate their journey with us so we will be finishing their day off at Richmond House with a feast of Domino’s pizzas (always a student favourite!) and an opportunity to sign a tee shirt, which we will also provide. They will then be free to depart from Richmond House at 1 p.m. with a full belly and a smile on their faces.

Suits day will be held for our Year 11 on Friday 25th of June 2021 and I will send you out further details of this fantastic event which will be held at the Broadway Cinema and is the highlight of the school calendar.  Please keep the date free as we will be inviting parents/carers to attend the award ceremony as well.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support through your child’s time with us and for becoming very much part of our Stone Soup family. Your child has got to the end and they have all achieved so much and we are all very proud of them and of you for your help in getting them there.

I hope that you all have an enjoyable half term and we will be in touch next term.

Thank you

Warmest regards
