RSHE Curriculum and Policy Consultation

27th June 2025

Dear Parent/Carers,

The DfE launched a consultation on a draft update to the statutory relationships, sex and

health education (RSHE) guidance in May 2024. As such, we will be reviewing our

relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) curriculum and policy, so we can be sure our

RSHE provision is always up to date and appropriate for our pupils based on their:

  • Age
  • Physical and emotional maturity
  • Religious and cultural backgrounds
  • Special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)

We would really value your input and feedback with this process.

Here’s how you can help:

We’re running a focus group on Thursday 10th July. If you’d like to participate, please

contact Katy Smith – Assistant Principal: Personal Development confirming your attendance

and stating your name and your child’s name. Alternatively, you can send your thoughts or

input through to the email address below.

If you would like to attend the focus group, please arrive at Milbie House by 3:30pm. The

meeting will be approximately 30 minutes and refreshments will be provided.

If you need any help understanding the curriculum requirements we need to meet ahead of

the meeting, you are welcome to review our current policy, found on our website, or refer to

the DfE RSHE guidance.

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you soon.

Best wishes,

Katy Smith

Assistant Principal: Personal Development.
