Our Building

The main Academy building is located in the historic lace market area of Nottingham, and has in its past been a lace factory, school, and a huge pigeon coop. The building was renovated for the purpose it holds today, opening as Stone Soup Academy in April 2013.

Although seemingly small from the outside, the building is in fact over 10,000 square feet and boasts 12 classrooms, a student recreation room, a commercially-equipped kitchen, and a joinery workshop as well as administrative facilities.

Renovation of the building was undertaken as part of a project aimed at providing training and work experience for a group of young apprentices. Under the same fundamental mission that prompted the founding of the school itself, this project is one that we hope to replicate in the future with additional facilities.
