MOCK EXAMS

Dear Parents/Carers,

To help us to make clear judgements in regard to the awarding of exam grades for students and to track their progress effectively, we have put in place mock exams throughout the year. The first exam days this term will be Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of March.

These days involve all year 10 and 11 students.

We will be running these mock exams on:

Tuesday 23rd March 2021

Maths 

Year 10

Start Time of Exam 9 a.m.

Finish Time of Exam 10.30 a.m.

Year 11

Start Time of exam: 11:30 am

Finish Time of exam: 1:30 pm

Wednesday 24th March 2021

English

Year 10

Start Time of exam:   9 a.m.

Finish Time of exam: 10.30 a.m. 

Year 11

Start Time of exam: 11:30 am

Finish Time of exam: 1:00  pm

These mock exams are being held at Richmond House 

All students will need to arrive 5 minutes before their start time.

To replicate the true experience of the GCSE exams. All students will need to stay in the exam room under controlled exam conditions within the JCQ regulations.

• Phones will be collected at the door
• Bags will need to be left with the Engagement team upon entry
• Coats will be collected at the door.
• Wrist watches need to be handed in

Students will be free to leave the Academy and return home as soon as their exam is complete and students still not be expected to attend school before the exam.

To support year 11 students with catch up. Year 11 students will be able to return to High Pavement at the end of their exam. This will enable them to work with teachers to catch up work missed over lockdown. This is optional but encouraged.
